Gaëtan Gorce is an associate research fellow at IRIS where he is co-heading the International Crimes Observatory and an Honorary Member of the Parliament.
Former adviser to President François Mitterrand, he was a Member of Parliament and then Senator for the Nièvre from 1997 to 2017. He was a member of the Foreign Affairs Commission of both assemblies, and co-author of several reports on Burma, Europe/Russia relations, the migrant crisis and the global Internet governance. He was also a member of the Cnil.
As an employment specialist, he has closely followed the challenges posed by social dumping on an international scale.
He graduated from the the Institute of Political Studies of Paris, with a law degree, and was a former student of the Ena. He has published several works on political history and philosophy.
