Émilie Laffiteau is an Associate Research Fellow at IRIS, as well as an economist specialising in sub-Saharan Africa, international macroeconomic issues and official development assistance.
As a consultant for a number of international organisations (World Bank, European Commission, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, French Development Agency, United Nations), she has worked for over ten years in Africa (mainly in Senegal and Mali) on capacity-building and technical support programmes in macroeconomic analysis and forecasting, official statistics and impact assessment.
A PhD in international economics, she teaches at IRIS Sup’ and is the author of articles in scientific journals on monetary and fiscal policies, regional integration and economic resilience. From 2014 to 2022, she was editor-in-chief of the reviewStatéco, co-published by INSEE, IRD and Afristat.
